Grimm's Fairytales

If you love the classic fairytales and folklores, you will enjoy knowing where they all came from. Grimm’s Fairytales is a compilation of the origins to classic European stories. The Grimm brothers, Jacob Grimm and Wilhelm Grimm, took the time long ago to record the stories they heard. The stories were recorded in the late 1700s and early 1800s. Stories include the original stories of Cinderella, Snow White and the Princess and the Frog (He was never kissed. The frog was actually thrown against the wall, which turned him into a prince. How romantic). It also has lesser known stories that never made it big, but are just as great. The book is very compelling. It has a way of bringing you back to childhood with the stories we all grew up with while still making them seem new because of their differences. Some stories are even a lot darker than we imagine. Some stories were so dark and violent that the collection had to be rewritten in numerous editions in the 1800s for children.
